Money without borders. Settlement without waiting.

our mission

Our mission is to make cross-border payments as simple, fast, and cheap as local ones. We believe the future of money movement is open, instant, and accessible to everyone — not just the privileged few with access to the legacy banking stack.

The old system was built for banks, not people

For decades, sending money across a border has meant handing your payment to a chain of intermediaries: correspondent banks, clearing systems, FX desks, and settlement windows. Each one takes a cut, adds a delay, and obscures the final cost. The result is a system where a worker sending money home can lose 6–10% in fees and wait days for the funds to arrive.

This is not a technology problem in the narrow sense. The pipes exist. The real problem is that the user experience was designed around the constraints of the banking network, not around the simple need: pay someone, anywhere, now.

beyond horseless carriages

Early cars were designed as horseless carriages: inventors kept the high seats, buggy springs, and even whip sockets because that was the familiar shape of transportation. It took time for the automobile to find its own native form.

Today’s cross-border payments are still horseless carriages. Digital apps wrap the same slow banking network in nicer interfaces, but the underlying ride is the same: multiple intermediaries, hidden fees, and unpredictable timing. We are building the native form — a payment experience designed from the QR code up, with stablecoin settlement underneath and local currency on the surface.

Software has already eaten local payments. A QR scan and a biometric confirmation are all it takes to pay a friend, a merchant, or a bill. We want the same experience to work across countries and currencies.

Imagine if sending money to another country felt exactly like buying coffee at your local café. That is the opportunity for truly native global payments.

safe emergence

The people who built databases did not imagine Google. The people who built internet protocols did not envision Stripe. They made lower-level capabilities so dependable that others could layer on top of them, and entire industries emerged that no one could have designed top-down.

Cross-border payments today are like databases before SQL: powerful, but every corridor is bespoke. Once moving value across borders becomes as dependable as a local bank transfer, builders will compose new services on top of it: payroll for global teams, instant remittances, borderless merchant checkout, and financial products we have not yet imagined.

Trust is the precondition for layering. People will only bury a dependency deep in their product if it is reliable, compliant, and inspectable. That is why we treat security, KYC, sanctions screening, and transparent pricing as first-class product decisions, not afterthoughts.

a new shape of money movement

We are building the paradigm shift beyond legacy rails:

step one

Ship the simplest cross-border payment experience the world has ever used: scan, confirm, settle in minutes.

step two

Make global money movement reliable and affordable enough to transform remittances, freelancing, travel, and commerce.

step three

Open the infrastructure so builders everywhere can compose new financial products on stable, transparent, global payment rails.

We are building open money, not closed clubs.

appendix:

  1. The World Bank estimates that global average remittance costs are still around 6.2%, with some corridors far higher.
  2. Stablecoins are digital assets pegged to fiat currencies, typically the US dollar, and settle on public blockchains in minutes.
  3. Local rails include systems like UPI in India, FPS in the UK, SEPA in Europe, ACH in the US, and instant-payment networks worldwide.
  4. Correspondent banking is the network of banks that hold accounts with each other to facilitate international transfers.
  5. Last-mile payout is the final step of delivering funds into a recipient’s local bank account, wallet, or cash pickup location.
  6. On-ramp and off-ramp providers convert between fiat currency and stablecoins, making the crypto layer invisible to end users.
  7. We design every corridor end-to-end: KYC, liquidity, compliance, settlement, and payout, so the experience feels like one tap.
