Moving money across borders should be as easy as buying coffee.
That has been our driving question since we started RAMPAY. We watched friends and family lose time and money every time they sent funds home, paid a freelancer overseas, or split a travel bill across currencies. The apps looked modern, but underneath they were still riding the same slow banking network.
After months of building, we are excited to announce the RAMPAY beta: a cross-border payment app that lets you scan a QR code, confirm with Face ID, and settle in minutes — with stablecoins handling the movement of value in the background.
How it works
- Scan any QR code or share your own.
- Confirm the amount and recipient with Face ID / Touch ID.
- We convert local currency to stablecoins, move value across corridors, and deliver local currency to the recipient — usually in under a minute.
You never see crypto wallets, seed phrases, or blockchain addresses. You just pay and get paid.
Why stablecoins?
Stablecoins let us settle value globally in minutes instead of days, with transparent costs and 24/7 availability. The key is keeping that power invisible. Local currency in, local currency out. The user experience is identical to the payment apps you already use.
What is in the beta
- Scan-to-pay between supported corridors
- Personal wallet with transaction history
- Merchant mode for businesses to accept cross-border QR payments
- Add money and withdraw to local bank accounts
- Real-time FX and fee quotes before you confirm
What is next
We are opening early access in batches. If you want to help shape the future of open money, follow RampPay on LinkedIn or X and tell us how you would use RAMPAY.
